On June 5, Soucy has acquired Rose Drummond, a Drummondville-based company working in the field of vegetable production and floriculture. In recent years, Rose Drummond has also launched the coffee shop Rose Café and a local shop. This acquisition allows Soucy to return to its first passion: agriculture.

A Shared Passion for Agriculture

Mr. Gilles Soucy share the founders of Rose Drummond's passion for agriculture. For Mr. Soucy, a farmer's son, this acquisition is a return to his roots! For the time being, he would like to continue the activities of Rose Drummond and even develop greenhouse production methods. The former managers, Amélie Lampron and Emmanuel Bertrand, who took over the reins of the family business in 2012, will continue to operate Rose Drummond as employees.

"For our family, the sale of Rose Drummond means the end of a long and happy chapter. My husband and I will remain on site to serve and welcome our loyal customers. We are leaving this project in good hands with Soucy, another family business in the region that has been established in Drummondville for many years," says Amélie Lampron, former manager of Rose Drummond.

"The company's growth has driven us to find creative solutions to diversify and expand our operations. We are pleased to take over the activities of this family business that has very similar values," says Gilles Soucy, founder of the company.

Strategic Lands for Soucy

For more than 50 years, Soucy has been constantly evolving and expanding its field of expertise. This is Soucy's fourth acquisition in the last five years.

The purchase of the land occupied by Rose Drummond makes Soucy's expansion in the Centre-du-Québec region possible. In fact, these lands are particularly well located, since they are next to Soucy Plastiques subsidiary and very close to the company's headquarters.
