Did you know that practicing physical activities at work can reduce employees' stress? Yes, being active on a regular basis can improve your mood and may even reduce the risk of depression. For the past several years, Soucy has been setting up several programs to improve the health and well-being of its teams.
Earlier this year, our subsidiary Soucy Baron was able to develop new programs thanks to a grant provided by the Ministère de l'Éducation et de l'Enseignement supérieur. Therefore, Soucy Baron was able to purchase sports equipment and create customized activities for its employees.
Yoga and Outdoor Cardio Exercises as Sports Programs
Thanks to this funding, Soucy Baron was able to purchase yoga equipment (mats, blocks and training elastics) and launch a new yoga class at work! Several employees, including the branch's general manager, were able to try this activity for the first time.
Outdoor cardio sessions also took place. In addition to going outside to get some fresh air, Soucy Baron's employees were able to surpass themselves and boost their heart health!
At Soucy, all employees are invited to participate in various events aimed to improve their health and well-being at work. For example, in October, the race Défie le sentier is held and sponsored by Soucy. Employees from all branches can join their colleagues in this two-day race. It is activities like this one that allow us to gather our teams around sports!
Improving Sports Facilities at Work
The grant from the Ministère de l'Éducation et de l'Enseignement Supérieur also made it possible to renovate the women's locker room and bathrooms at Soucy Baron. Here is the result:
Thanks to these renovations, showers were also installed in the women's locker room. This is very useful for those who exercise during their lunch hour...
Being active at work starts with small steps! Whether it's with our Employee Assistance Program or our calendar of sporting events, our employees are supported in their efforts to achieve a more active lifestyle. With the help of the Ministère de l'Éducation et de l'Enseignement supérieur, our Soucy Baron subsidiary is ready to launch its new health program!
